Receivers - Only give out one output, so how do hotels do it?

I need a bit of guidance. I understand that receivers can only give out one output, and if you connect, lets say, multiple radio or TV's to the same receiver, you will get the same programme/station, at the same time, so you can't watch one thing in one room, and something different in another room at the same time, off one receiver. But how do accommodation facilities do it?
They have a giant satellite dish, one receiver, and multiple TV's connected to one system. All of these TV's can watch different channels at the same time. So how do they do it?
I asked a Physicist/Electrician the same question, and he mentioned something about there being a group of tuned circuits? But I didn't quite understand. Any help would be great, thanks.
